Salah Muhumed is a filmmaker based in Portland, OR who specializes in videography, photography, and editing.
First picking up a camera in 2020, Salah began by recording his elder brother’s comedy skits. By November 2023, inspired by reading Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer, Salah made the bold decision to pivot entirely toward his passion—storytelling.
Since then, Salah has done a diverse set of creative projects- ranging from videography, photography, graphic design, and editing. “ Although I have had the privilege to have my work featured on Al Jazeera, Runnerspace, BallisLife, Overtime, and more- my favorite work to date was capturing my brother Ahmed’s (who first taught me how to use a camera back in 2020) Wedding.”
Salah holds a deep-rooted passion for his community- If he is not doing homework, reading, writing, or editing, you will catch him at a community event, documenting the stories untold.
